We at Bookrentalcenter.com value your business and want you to have the best possible renting experience. We provide these guidelines to help you understand our expectations and to minimize any confusion about the rental process.
Errors in quoted pricing
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Bookrentalcenter.com shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Bookrentalcenter.com shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase/rent and your order is canceled, Bookrentalcenter.com shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
Purchasing Books
When you purchase a book from Bookrentalcenter.com, Inc. your credit/debit card will be charged for the purchase price of the book once it ships. When you receive your book from Bookrentalcenter.com, Inc, the book becomes your property.
Rental Prices
Prices of rentals are not guaranteed until you check out and submit your credit/debit card information to complete your transaction.
Returning Books
Follow the steps below for an easy return:
- Login: Choose the books you want to return on the Rental Return page and confirm your shipping address
- Print: Print the packing slip and shipping label
- Package: Securely seal the package with the books you're returning and your packing slip. For postage, you must use our prepaid UPS shipping label.
- Ship: Drop the package off at any UPS Location
You may use the packaging that your rental was shipped in or you can provide your own packaging. Be sure there are no labels or writings other than the prepaid UPS shipping label.
Time Frame
Your rental begins on the date your book is delivered, based on your tracking number, and must be postmarked for return by the last day of your rental period. Otherwise, we assume you are keeping your book and we will charge you accordingly.
Grace Period
All our rental periods come with a 10 (ten) day grace period. As former students, we have been in your shoes before. Sometimes you get caught up in the busy college schedule, or you need to take a make-up final exam. Our 10 day grace period allows you the flexibility to hold on to the book long enough to get you through the semester. The grace period applies to all of the rental periods.
Books Not Returned By Due Date
If your book is not postmarked by the end of your rental period, you will be charged 120% of the book's purchase price listed on our website minus your rental costs. Once you are charged, you opt out of the rental agreement and the book becomes your property.
Purchasing Your Rental
If you like your rental, we encourage you to buy it. To buy a book you are renting, go to the Extensions Page, choose the 'convert a rental to a purchase' option for the rental you wish to purchase and proceed with checkout. Upon completion of the checkout process
Extending Your Rental
If you wish to keep your book past the due date, you can extend your rental by 15, 30, and 60 days. This option can be accessed directly from your Bookrentalcenter.com account; simply login and select which books you would like to extend and follow the prompts.
Please note: Extension fees are calculated based on the individual ISBN.
Property
During your rental period, all books remain the full property of Bookrentalcenter.com, Inc. Your acceptance of the book and paying rental prices entitles you to use the property of Bookrentalcenter.com for a limited amount of time and binds you to our Service Policy. At the end of the rental period, you exit out of the service policy and lose all rights to the book.
Lost Books
If your rented book is lost or stolen, you are responsible for the book. If you do not return the book at the end of your rental period, your credit/debit card will be charged to replace the book.
Damaged Books
Books are required to be kept in like-new or better condition. If a book is damaged and rendered unusable, it will remain the property of Bookrentalcenter.com and you will be charged the full retail value to replace it. If supplementary materials such as CDs, workbooks, study guides, etc. are included with your book, they must be returned with your book.
